Thank you! Like almost everyone else these days, I work predominantly on a computer. But I still think my best editing comes with printed text, pencil, and silence. McCullough was onto something.
So much interesting history here Neil thank you! Love that T.S. Eliot quote and how he thought the technology of the typewriter changed both his style and content.
Good question. Definitely by texting language for sure although Iβm not good on poets. Artists definitely. David Hockney is all about iPad paintings.
Loved the post. Glad I learned to write before the computer was a thing. Typing was slower and writing with a pencil was slower yet. We've come so far in a circle - slow eating and slow stitching and I'll bet slow typing is next.
Thanks for being here, Maryanne! I hope it won't be your last TypeTown! π

Thank you Roland, that's very kind. I'm so glad someone out there enjoys this wittering! Have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you Neil. Have a good weekend yourself.

Thanks Victoria! I wonder if there are any poets out there today whose styles are altered by composing on phones... π€π€£

Thanks Jeri. When the focus on everything seems to be now, now, now, thereβs definitely value in saying no, no, no. π
Β‘De nada, Neil! Β‘Un placer!
